White House Preparatory School

The White House Preparatory School Chess Club has just started in September 2007. Mrs Gillam and her staff have been very cooperative in organising the chess, and the girls are all very keen to learn. The pupils are already doing a great job of picking up the basics, and seem to be progressing very quickly. I anticipate interest to continue to grow in the school, and hope that the enjoyment in the game will help the pupils develop many skills. These include concentration, forward planning, logical thinking and problem solving.
