Many chess players make good online poker players. My favourite site for playing poker on is betsson. It’s primarily a scandanavian site. I’ve tried many sites out, and in my opinion it definitely has the weakest players and is the easiest for making money. I keep a spreadsheet and despite playing 2 or 3 tables at a time it is possible to regularly beat the game by 25-30% just playing straightforward poker. The poker is the best feature of this site, the graphics are great, and you get shown the % chance of winning once all players are all in, which is great for learning.

Go through and have a go, it’s a fantastic way to supplement your income. There are free tables if you want to get used to how it all works, but it’s fairly easy to learn.

As far as sports betting goes it is also a decent site to go for. The volumes are smaller than betfair unless it is a major sporting event, but the margins you can make are much greater, and the chance of finding incorrect odds before someone else does is also better.

The casino is great too. There are regular bonuses, so as long as you are disciplined, you can play all your favourite games, and get a juicy cash bonus to get you going. Just don’t get too addicted to this as the odds are against you in the long run. I tend to just play every time they offer me a bonus to do so, it’s basically free money!

Poker Tip:

It takes roughly 300,000 poker hands before your luck evens out, so don’t’ play at stakes that are too large compared to your bankroll, or you risk going bust from a bad run of luck. Not only this, but when the stakes are too high, players tend to be overly cautious, which can affect your potential profit.
